Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant 3D Designer – Piping with strong expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D to develop and manage piping models for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in piping layout development, 3D modeling, isometric generation, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout detailed engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D piping models for Large Bore, Small Bore, and Balance of Plant (BOP) piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Perform piping routing for critical process lines, including high-temperature and high-pressure piping systems.
  • Model piping components based on:
    • P&IDs
    • Stress analysis reports
    • Boiler pressure part drawings
    • Vendor General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)
  • Generate engineering deliverables including:
    • Piping Layout Drawings
    • Production Isometrics
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Interpret and work with engineering documents such as:
    • P&IDs
    • Line Lists
    • Piping Material Specifications
    • Vendor Drawings
    • In-line Instrumentation Details
  • Participate in and lead 30%, 60%, and 90% model review meetings.
  • Ensure piping layouts comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to resolve design issues.
  • Maintain design quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in Plant 3D piping design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Chemical industries.
  • Hands-on experience in developing detailed piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Piping Layout Concepts
    • Pipe Routing
    • Piping Components
    • Material Specifications
    • Isometric Generation
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience in successfully executing at least five complete engineering projects using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
