Overview of the Position

We are seeking a Simulation Engineer specializing in FEA and CFD to support the design of small motors and ESC components. The role focuses on structural, thermal, and fluid flow simulations to improve performance, reliability, and thermal management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Role

Perform structural, thermal, and fluid simulations using FEA and CFD tools to support design optimization of compact electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform structural (FEA), thermal and CFD simulations for small motors and ESC components.
  2. Analyze heat transfer, airflow and cooling performance in compact systems.
  3. Build simulation models including geometry preparation, meshing, and boundary conditions.
  4. Use ANSYS tools (Mechanical, Fluent, CFX, Workbench) for simulation and analysis.
  5. Interpret simulation results and provide design recommendations.
  6. Collaborate with design, electrical and manufacturing teams.
  7. Validate simulation results with test/experimental data.
  8. Optimize designs for thermal, structural and airflow performance.
  9. Document methodologies, assumptions and results.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Thermal Engineering / Fluid Mechanics.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in FEA and CFD simulation using ANSYS tools.

Desired Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Must have strong proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical, Fluent, CFX, and Workbench.
  • Must have strong fundamentals in FEA, CFD, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • Must be strong in solid mechanics and fluid mechanics principles.
  • Must have exposure to rotating machinery or compact systems (preferred).
  • Must have strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills.
